Renewables Set To Overtake Coal.

Coinciding with the NPC opening, new data from the National Energy Administration reveals that 2026 is projected to be a "tipping point" for the world's second-largest economy. For the first time in history, the combined capacity of solar and wind power is on track to officially outpace coal in China's power mix this year. To support this, the State Grid announced plans today to commission 15 new ultra-high voltage transmission lines by 2030, ensuring that clean energy generated in the west can reach the high-demand coastal cities.
