New Hongqi Electric Model Debuts In Israel.

In January 2026, Chinese automaker FAW Group expanded its presence in the Israeli market by launching the Hongqi E-HS5, a luxury electric SUV available in three versions with a range of up to 550 km. This launch strengthens China's massive influence in the region’s automotive sector, where Chinese brands dominated 79.2 percent of the electric car market in 2025. The new model joins three other Hongqi EVs already available, following a successful year in which the brand sold 841 units to Israeli consumers.
