Generational Leap: The Far Side of Mars.
While much of the world's focus remains on lunar missions, China's space program, Tianwen-3, has reportedly achieved a technological breakthrough by successfully landing a prototype craft on some of the most hostile, far-side terrain of Mars. Unlike previous landings that relied on smoother plains, this mission tested autonomous retro-propulsion and AI-driven navigation that functions without real-time input from Earth. This serves as the critical flight model phase for China’s ultimate goal: being the first nation to return physical Martian soil samples to Earth by 2031.
