China Creates Boneless Fish For Mass Consumption.

Chinese scientists have created a genetically edited crucian carp without small bones, removing a major obstacle to fish consumption while preserving taste and nutrition. The sterile hybrid, Zhongke 6, is designed for efficient, high-density aquaculture and industrial processing. Expected to reach markets in 2026, it could significantly transform China’s fish consumption and aquaculture industry.
