The Beca Universal "Rita Cetina" is a Mexican government social program designed to support families with children in public primary and secondary schools to ensure they complete their basic education. As of 2026, the program provides $1,900 MXN every two months to secondary school students (plus $700 for each additional sibling in that level) and an annual payment of $2,500 MXN for primary school students. Distributed via the Banco del Bienestar card, this universal scholarship aims to eliminate economic barriers to education, fulfilling a constitutional mandate to provide financial aid to all students in the public school system.
