Record-Breaking Heatwave GRIPS.

The first week of spring has brought summer-like extreme heat across Mexico and the U.S. Southwest. In Hermosillo, temperatures hit a staggering 108°F (42°C), setting a new record for March. At least 12 states have seen temperatures surpass 105°F (40°C), driven by a persistent high-pressure system. This scorching start to the season has raised immediate concerns about water conservation and the early arrival of sargassum on the Riviera Maya beaches.
