Mexico Commits to Protecting its Territory.

Mexico’s ambitious new environmental axis announced at the World Economic Forum. Moving beyond passive conservation, the government is shifting toward active restoration of damaged terrestrial and marine ecosystems. The strategy prioritizes the restoration of mangroves and wetlands—natural carbon sinks—and aims to transition the national economy away from extractivism toward a sustainable development model.
