Mexico Approves Bill to Prevent Extortion.

Mexico has approved a law, as of November 25, 2025 to prevent and to ultimately punish extortion. A punishment of 42 years in jail. The law was signed as the year began with the rise of 7% percent of illegal extortion being reported. Extortion is the process of obtaining money illegally from or to authorities.
