Exploring Sustainable Fracking.

In a notable departure from her predecessor's stance, President Sheinbaum announced that her administration is analyzing the environmental impacts of non-conventional gas exploration (fracking). The goal is to reduce Mexico's heavy dependence on natural gas imports from the United States, which currently account for about 75% of the country's usage. The government is aiming for a meaningful reduction in imports rather than total independence.
