Disaster Losses Hit Record High.

A new Swiss Re Institute report reveals that "secondary perils"—wildfires, storms, and floods—accounted for 92% of the $107 billion in global insured losses last year. The institute warns that if trends continue, global losses could reach $148 billion by the end of 2026.
