Tourism Organization Adds AI Trip Butlers.
The Korea Tourism Organization has unveiled a new strategic roadmap to redefine the country as a global model for Regenerative and Emotional Tourism. This shift moves the focus away from crowded sightseeing and toward deep cultural immersion. New AI Trip Butlers are being deployed in major hubs like Seoul and Busan. These systems are designed to be emotionally intelligent, sensing a traveler's fatigue or mood to suggest quieter, healing destinations like traditional tea houses or temple stays. A new focus on K-Life tourism encourages visitors to skip malls in favor of morning markets, local neighborhood workshops, and long-term stays in traditional hanok guesthouses. The Regenerative pillar invites travelers to participate in community-led initiatives, such as restorative hiking in Gangwon Province or marine conservation projects on Jeju Island.
