The Seollal Travel Surge.
As of today, February 16, South Korea is in the middle of a massive national travel period for Seollal. Approximately 5.05 million vehicles have hit the highways as families travel for reunions. Travelers heading from Seoul to Busan have faced traffic jams lasting nearly six hours. The holiday serves as a backdrop to ongoing political debates, as President Lee Jae Myung and opposition leaders clash over property tax policies during their holiday addresses.
