Spring Festival Season Begins Amid Recovery.

Despite the economic and political tensions, South Koreans are marking the start of the spring season. The Gwangyang Plum Blossom Festival is set to begin later this week (March 13), followed by the world-famous Jinhae Gunhangje Cherry Blossom Festival later in the month. Local governments are hoping for a record turnout of domestic and international tourists to help revitalize local economies and provide a sense of normalcy.
