South Korea Pivots to Physical AI and Robotics.
In a major policy shift announced at the Daegu Techno Park, South Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups has declared Robotics as the nation's next primary growth engine. Minister Han Seong-sook outlined a strategic blueprint to transition from digital platforms to Physical AI machines that learn and adapt in real-world industrial environments. This initiative is backed by a record-breaking 3.4 trillion KRW startup budget for 2026, specifically targeting Super-Gap technologies like humanoid robots and AI-driven manufacturing to maintain a competitive edge over global rivals.
