State of National Energy Emergency Declared.

Due to the escalating conflict in the Middle East and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the Philippine government has officially declared a State of National Energy Emergency. President Marcos signed Executive Order No. 110 to help manage the country’s fuel reserves and mitigate the impact of soaring global oil prices. As part of the response, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) confirmed today that price hikes for basic necessities will be frozen until at least April 16 to protect consumers from the initial shock.
