Philippines Ranks 4th Happiest.

The 2026 World Happiness Report was released today, placing the Philippines 56th worldwide and 4th in Southeast Asia, showing a slight improvement from last year's ranking. The report highlighted that the Philippines performed best in the category of "freedom to make life choices" (ranking 13th globally). Despite the overall rank improvement, the report noted a decline in "positive emotions" among Filipinos—dropping from 82% to 76%—attributed largely to the rising cost of living and economic uncertainty.
