Highway Skyway Connector Road On The Way.

After years of right-of-way delays, the Department of Public Works and Highways has officially entered full blast construction on the stalled Section 2A of the Skyway Stage 3. This 1.2-kilometer segment in Pandacan, Manila, is the critical missing link connecting the Skyway to the NLEX-SLEX Connector road. While the full opening is targeted, the government is pushing to have the primary structure completed by the end. This is part of a broader quality-first infrastructure pivot that includes the Davao City Bypass, featuring the Philippines' first long-distance mountain road tunnel, set for completion in the first quarter. These projects are expected to reduce travel time for daily motorists and significantly lower logistics costs for agricultural goods coming from Mindanao.
