The Department of Foreign Affairs today slammed a 1990 document being circulated by the Chinese Embassy as a distortion of history. The letter allegedly shows the Philippines acknowledging China's claim over Scarborough Shoal, but Manila has officially rejected it as a fake, reinforcing its sovereignty over the area based on the 2016 Hague ruling.
