Japan’s health ministry announced today that cannabinol will be classified as a designated drug, effectively banning its sale and use starting June 1. Currently found in popular gummies, oils, and vapes across Tokyo, these products will be removed from shelves. Only patients with rare, untreatable diseases will be granted medical exemptions under the new ordinance.
