Minato Mirai Yokohama’s Immersive Waterfront.

Just south of Tokyo, Yokohama’s Minato Mirai district is branding itself as the City of Light and Art for March 2026. The THE MOVEUM YOKOHAMA at Yamashita Pier was just extended due to popular demand. It features a massive, 1,800-square-meter immersive digital art exhibit titled Fin de Siècle Vienna, focusing on the works of Gustav Klimt. This Thursday, March 12, the Minato Mirai Super Big Band will perform a free concert at the Main Hall, featuring jazz classics like Chick Corea’s Spain. While the full Garden Necklace floral festival starts March 19, the local Sankeien Garden is currently hosting its final days of plum blossom (Ume) viewing, a quieter and more traditional alternative to the upcoming cherry blossom craze.
