Green Hydrogen Transport Milestone.
Japan has officially hit its 2026 target for hydrogen infrastructure, with the world’s first fully integrated Hydrogen Highway connecting Tokyo to Osaka. Over 300 high-speed refueling stations are now operational, supporting a new generation of heavy-duty commercial trucks and public buses. This shift is a centerpiece of the country’s bid for energy independence, moving away from imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) and toward domestic hydrogen production powered by offshore wind farms in the Sea of Japan.
