Despite the weather challenges, Hawaii is preparing for a massive cultural season. The Honolulu Festival successfully concluded its 30th-anniversary celebration last weekend, featuring "Pacific Harmony" performances from Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines. Looking ahead, the world-renowned Merrie Monarch Festival is set to begin on April 5, 2026, in Hilo. This year’s event is particularly high-stakes as it serves as the primary qualifying stage for a new international hula exchange program launching later this year.
