Parthenon Nearing Conclusion On Final Phase.

The marathon restoration of the Parthenon is finally nearing its conclusion. The Greek Ministry of Culture confirmed that the current stage of restoration is in its final phase. For a brief period, the monument stood entirely free of scaffolding for the first time in over years. While light scaffolding has returned for fine-tuning on the western facade, it is scheduled for permanent removal by summer. The project has replaced crumbling iron clamps with non-corrosive titanium fasteners and used marble from the original ancient quarries at Mount Pentelikon to ensure architectural accuracy. To protect this progress, Greece recently launched a million National Strategy specifically to safeguard its iconic monuments from climate-related risks like extreme heat, floods, and sea-level rise.
