Drone Strike Against Goma Strikes.

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission issued a formal condemnation following a deadly drone strike in Goma, the capital of North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The attack, which struck a residential area, resulted in several civilian deaths, including a United Nations humanitarian worker. The strike is part of a marked increase in aerial warfare between the Congolese military and the M23 rebel group. The African Union has called for maximum restraint, warning that the use of advanced drone technology in the region is rapidly escalating the conflict and threatening to derail ongoing ceasefire negotiations.
